Product Testing
Physical Testing
Before we release any product from the production area, it is put through rigorous tests of strength and durability. To evaluate the strength and impact-resistance of the wheels of our suitcases we load them with heavy weight and send them on a gruelling journey of 20 km on an abrasive surface in a treadmill. Or we lift a fully loaded suitcase till 90 cm above the ground and then let it drop freely on all wheels.
After tests like these the wheels must still function as intended and show no signs of damage or malfunction. No breakage at the telescopic handle, no cracks in the board or breakage of the shell around the wheel base nor any damage on the inside. Only then they are ready to be send to our customers.
Chemical Testing
In an era where global concern to “go green” complements a simultaneous need to ban and/or restrict hazardous substances in consumer products, end user safety is at the very forefront of everything we do. Legal requirements in many countries, particularly in the European Union and the US, mandate that our products are to be tested for high or unacceptable levels of suspected carcinogens or allergenic substances like formaldehyde, heavy metals such as lead, cadmium and nickel, pentachlorophenol (PCP’s), PVC plasticizers (phthalates) an AZO/ allergenic dyes.
All products we develop do comply with legal requirements (REACH/ PROP65) and are free from any hazardous substances.
